My name is Madeline Scozzie. I was born on May 12th, 1994, to Skip and Debby Scozzie. I currently live in Ashburn, VA with my parents and my dog, Tilly. I began gymnastics at the age of 3 at Chantilly Academy in Chantilly, VA. From there I moved to Capital Gymnastics West in Ashburn, VA. I took many classes and then joined the team program in the fall of 2000. I began competing as a level 4 at the age of 7. My first competition season began in the fall of 2001. I competed one year of level 4, two years of level 5, two years of level 6, I tested out of level 7, two years of level 8, two years of level 9, and this will be my first year as a level 10. After my first year of level 6, I moved from Capital Gymnastics West to APEX Gymnastics in Leesburg, VA. I have been competing with APEX since my second year of level 6, making this my seventh year this coming April. During my second year of level 8 and both my years of level 9, I qualified for Regionals. As a first year level 9, I was second alternate for Eastern Nationals. Last year, my third year as a level 9, I competed at the Eastern National Championships in Worcester, Massachusetts.

I attend Broad Run High School in Ashburn, VA. My current GPA is 4.24. I am in the Key Club at Broad Run, a community service club, and I have been a Girl Scout for 12 years. I am also an active member in FCCLA, which stands for Family Career Community Leaders of America. It is a family oriented community service club. In 2010, I was also inducted into the National Honor Society. I hope to maintain my GPA in the upcoming years. My family and I are members of Vienna Presbyterian Church in Vienna, Virginia, and I participate in the youth services there. My future goals for gymnastics are making it to the Junior Olympic Eastern Nationals again, and after graduating, competing on a college gymnastics team.
