Maddy has competed in her first meet of the season, the In-House meet! Every year, APEX hosts an in-house competition to help prepare the gymnasts for the up-coming season. At the meet, Maddy qualified for the Virginia State Championships! She is ready for 2009-2010 season!!
March 2010
Maddy has had a good season this year! She went to State Championships, and did very well. She was sixth place All Around. She also qualified for Region 7 Regional Championships where she will compete in Virginia Beach on April 9th. She is very excited to be going to Regionals!
April 2010
Maddy competed well at Regionals and is looking forward to summer training.
June 2010
This summer is going to be very busy. Maddy is training very hard to be ready as a level 10 in the fall. She is practicing Monday-Friday, and she is going to Woodward camp for a week with her teammates and her coach.
December 2010
Unfortunately, Maddy has been dealing with a back and tailbone injury for the past month or so. She only competed vault at the in-house meet at APEX. She has not competed in any other meets since then. She is beginning to recover now, and she is slowing getting back into things. Hopefully, Maddy will be able to compete one or two events by her next competition in the middle of January. She is working very hard get back into things, and wants to do her best the rest of the season.
February 2011
Maddy is now doing all of her skills again, and she has competed in 3 meets since her injury. Because of her extensive break, Maddy will be finishing the competition season as a Level 9. She has qualified for Level 9 State Championships, and she continues to better her current skills while also working on new ones.
March 2011
Maddy is completely recovered now, and she competed as a level 9 at the Virginia State Championships last weekend where she placed 3rd All Around. Maddy qualified for Regionals next month, and she is very excited.
April 2011
Maddy competed at the Regional Championships and finished 2nd All Around. She will be attending Eastern Nationals next month in Massachusetts. Maddy is very excited!
May 2011
Maddy competed at the Eastern National Championships in Worcester, Massachusetts and did really well! She had a lot of fun, and she is now looking forward to a summer of training and learning new skills.
July 2011
Maddy has been working hard on new skills so far this summer. She has recorded some of her practices already and plans to post many more videos soon. Maddy is also looking forward to her week at Woodward Gymnastics Camp in August.
